About
Why this project exists.
The mission
AI Literacy For All is a student-led initiative designed to help people better understand and navigate artificial intelligence in everyday life. Through accessible, hands-on workshops, participants learn how AI works, how to use common AI tools effectively, and how to recognize risks such as misinformation, scams, privacy concerns, and overreliance on automated systems. The project's goal is to make AI education practical, approachable, and empowering for learners of all backgrounds.
Who runs it
Jessie Cai
President & Lead Educator
Based in Los Angeles and nearby communities
Jessie's interest in AI education began after seeing a family member become increasingly anxious about alarming news that turned out to be fake and nearly fall victim to several scams. She was motivated to create a program focused on helping people understand emerging technologies, evaluate information more critically, and use AI with greater confidence and awareness.
Dallas Chu
Vice President & Educator
Based in Glendora, California
Dallas became more active in AI education and awareness after experiencing firsthand how easily academic pressure and the prevalence of AI tools can blur the line between assistance and misuse. That experience urged him to learn more about the ethics of AI and to help others develop greater awareness and responsibility with AI usage.
William Lee
Team Development Coordinator
Based in Glendora, California
William has been more aware of AI ethics after reading about the overuse of AI in education and the workforce. The reliability of AI has been normalized in today's society, which inspires him to be better informed about the transparency and safety of AI usage.
